Warsaw, 17 September 2020: What are Poland’s best practices when it comes to responsible business? Responsible Business Forum has published a summary of the activities undertaken by companies, institutions and non-governmental organizations in the domain of corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
The report (Executive Summary in English available here and full report in Polish available here and ) is structured into seven areas, in line with ISO 26000: organizational governance, human rights, labor practices, the environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and local community involvement and development.
The 2019 edition contains nearly 1700 practices by 214 companies. They highlight inspiring examples of principles of responsibility application in all sections of business – in the workplace, towards markets, society, and the environment. In addition, the report contains articles and experts’ statements, analysis, opinions and review of last year’s events, research results review, and press releases.
The Responsible Business Forum is the largest NGO in Poland addressing the concept of corporate social responsibility in a comprehensive manner, with the longest tradition in Poland, operating since 2000. The Forum is an expert organization that initiates and partners key Polish CSR undertakings. The Responsible Business Forum is a partner of WBCSD’s Global Network, an alliance of more than 60 CEO-led business organizations worldwide. The Network, encompassing some 5,000 companies, is united by a shared commitment to provide business leadership for sustainable development in their respective countries and regions.
