Madrid, 26 September 2019: Forética, WBCSD’s Global Network partner in Spain, organized a successful seventh edition of its annual forum Sustainability & CSR Spain in Madrid.
Sessions focused on a wide range of topics, from circular economy to corporate disclosures to climate change, human rights, and the future of work.
Kitrhona Cerri, Director of Social Impact at WBCSD, spoke on the importance of business leadership around the foundational corporate responsibility to respect human rights, driving home the message that business leaders have a role in raising the bar for their companies, industries and supply chains. She most notably shared the insights stemming from WBCSD’s CEO Guide to Human Rights, published earlier this year and most notably underscoring the implications of this agenda for businesses across Latin America and Spain.
The forum was sponsored by Bankia, Ecoembes, IKEA, ILUNION, ManpowerGroup, MSD, P&G and Vía Célere, with RTVE acting as media partner.
Forética is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. It is the leading business network on sustainability and corporate social responsibility in Spain and Latin America. A non-profit organization, headquartered in Madrid, its multi-stakeholder membership includes more than 200 members.
