Madrid, 20 September 2018: Forética, WBCSD’s Global Network partner in Spain, successfully organized the sixth edition of its anual CSR Spain event. Gathering over 200 representatives from business, government, and civil society, the event focused on sharing the latest insights into sustainability solutions and corporate responsibility practices across Spain and the world.
Themes addressed included most notably circular economy, transparency, gender equality, future of work, the role of the consumer, and investor interest in environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
The opening keynote address was delivered by Cristina Gallach, the Spanish government’s High Commissioner for Agenda 2030, alongside Alberto Durán, Chair of Forética.
Filippo Veglio, Managing Director of WBCSD’s People Program, represented the Council at the event, sharing the organization’s focus around system transformation in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also highlighted the availability in Spanish of two CEO Guides recently produced: one focused on the business implications of the SDGs agenda (click here), and one focused on the circular economy (click here).
CSR Spain was sponsored by Adif, Cemex, Ecoembes, IKEA and P&G, in collaboration with Vía Célere and the support of RTVE as media partner.
