The Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD) is a CEO-led association of companies operating in Indonesia, that share a commitment to promoting sustainable development through sustainable economic growth, ecological balance and social progress. Its establishment was initiated by the Indonesia Chamber of Commerce in April 2011, IBCSD’s concept of sustainable development lies on the premises where sustainable development does not merely make sense but also makes good business sense. As part of WBCSD’s Global Network, in many ways, IBCSD's program and activities mirror the WBCSD’s programs that are replicable but at the same time provide room for policy or concept alteration to best respond to Indonesia’s unique challenges.

As a business association, IBCSD represents the voice of business in shaping the sustainability landscape in Indonesia.
