Business has a critical role to play in seizing this opportunity by working with national/local governments and civil society to deliver the solutions for sustainable, resilient and inclusive cities where no one is left behind. We at WBCSD are committed to accelerating this process.
During the UN Habitat III in Quito this October, 30,000 representatives from business, government and civil society are expected to “reinvigorate the global commitment to towns, cities and other human settlements” through the New Urban Agenda. This transformational agenda will inform global strategies around sustainable urbanization in the decades to come.
Don’t miss the Business Assembly on 16 October in Quito. We’re organizing the event to connect leaders from private and public sectors and to build partnerships for implementing the New Urban Agenda.
We’re proud to be the only official voice of business and industry at Habitat III. Together, we’re working to ensure private sector solutions are reflected in this new urban development framework. Here’s to building a better world through sustainable human settlements!
