Geneva, 04 August 2020 – Trane Technologies today joined more than 200 leading companies as the newest member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD).
Trane Technologies is a global climate innovator that brings efficient and sustainable climate solutions to buildings, homes and transportation through its strategic brands Trane® and Thermo King®, and its portfolio of environmental products and services.
Trane Technologies debuted as a climate innovation company earlier this year, after the spin-off of its industrial segment, which merged with Gardner Denver to become Ingersoll Rand. The company develops solutions for big sustainability challenges while bringing heating, cooling and refrigerated foods and perishables to people around the world. The company’s bold 2030 Sustainability Commitments are central to its business strategy and include a pledge to reduce its customers’ carbon emissions by one gigaton (2% of the world’s annual emissions) and to achieve carbon-neutral operations. These commitments extend to communities with significant investments in education and workforce development, housing and comfort, and food and wellness.
