Fiona is the Senior Director of the Corporate Performance & Accountability (CP&A)* program at WBCSD leading on action areas for corporate performance and accountability spanning the climate, nature, circularity and equity agendas. This role leverages her corporate legal background and international experience on transformative agendas in the finance and business worlds, first in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis and more recently on the sustainability imperative.
Her private sector experience includes senior positions at NatWest and Amazon. At NatWest she was Head of Legal for Treasury, Disclosure and ESG and a member of the Group and subsidiary Executive Disclosure Committees and Treasury Executive Committee. Initially focused on post-financial crisis reforms and balance sheet restoration, her role later expanded to include Group-wide strategic developments on climate and ESG initiatives. At Amazon, she held roles in Legal and WW Sustainability and initiated and designed a global project in response to mandatory sustainability reporting requirements. A US/UK capital markets lawyer by background, she started her career at PWC in in assurance and advisory in New York and later practiced corporate law at Davis Polk & Wardell LLP in New York and London before joining NatWest in 2011. She is now based in Amsterdam.
